“The lounge of the former PanAm airline in Berlin is a unique place. The eventful history of the city over the last 50 years is reflected here. Between 1966 and 1991, the PanAm Lounge was an insider tip in the western part of the city.“

Set up as a meeting place for the airline's crews, it quickly developed into a place of encounter with flair. Especially among American guests, the lounge enjoyed great popularity at that time. Willy Brandt also used the fireside lounge time and again for political talks. In 1991, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the bankruptcy of PanAm, the lounge closed its doors and fell into a deep slumber. In 2005, however, it fortunately awoke to new life - as a meeting place of the new cosmopolitan Berlin with a cult factor. Ten years of the PanAm Lounge's rediscovery are a reason to celebrate.
